For our secondt in VIlnius we simply had to try the restaurant that was close to our hotel since we needed to get up for our friends’ wedding the day after, so why not the restaurant listed 3rd in Vilnius; Telegrafs at the Kempinski hotel

The restaurant had a couple of set menues and luckliy enough they had a special promo! The last Thursday every month they have tasting-Thursday: a set meue + wine pairing for 60 EUR, what a great deal!

We started of with some freshly baked bread and some interesting butters, my favorite was the one with orange.

Our company had 2 vegetarians and 1 pregnant woman and then the 3 other choose the meat menue. The starter was oyster and beef tartar, what I did not expected was that the oyster was blended into the tartar. It was delicious! The best dish in the menue.

For second dish we had a chicken consumé with home-made pasta and vegetables. Unfortunatly there was only one piece of pasta… In wished there was more of the pasta because the taste was great.

For main we had a pice of lamb, this could also have been bigger, but cooked beautifully!

To finish it all of we received a de-constructed carrot cake, even though I asked for the chocolate…

The service was good and the food was good, it was just a little too little food. The vegetarian menue was far more filling, but one pasta in the duck consumé? For 60 EUR the experience with wine is worth it, but don’t count on rolling out of the restaurant.

    • For a top restaurant I think they should have been a little more attentive to who had ordered what, also they were very inflexible with the dishes even though we had warned them about our special requests

  • Price: $$$$,

    • Set menue for 60 EUR with wine package is very ggood price or such quality food, however it was 70 EUR (without wine package), hopefully the dishes are bigger then.

  • Extra points for outstanding things:

    • No extra points, but that doesn’t mean that you should miss it

  • Tips and tricks: You need a reservation and also go on the last Thursday in the month to catch the special price!

    Total 14/15 points which means I recommed it!
