Grand Hotel Stockholm

When H (our baby) turned 3 month we got a gift from my parents and it was a night out.

Said and done, our first night away together plus my birthday, so we had to make it count. Since SPAs seems to be our thing now I’ve always wanted to visit Nordic SPA located in Grand Hotel Stockholm. However I could never bring my self to pay for it since it is insanely expensive.

Luck was in our favor and they had a promotion which included SPA when staying overnight so we jumped on the chance! We booked a delux room with sea view for 4790 SEK (473 € / 576 $) including breakfast and SPA entry.

If only visiting the SPA (day SPA) the cheapest package including breakfast is 1695 SEK (168€ / 204$)

We got a text around 08:00 (am) telling us our room was ready for checkin, but we headed over there for their regular check in at 15:00 (3 pm).

The delux room with view over the castle was beautiful. It was very spacious and felt very old luxurious. After checking in we went down to their famous Cadier bar for some pre-dinner drinks.

Due to COVID restaurants has to close at 20:00 (8 pm), but the spa remained open until 22:00 (10 pm) so we decided to have dinner and end the evening at the SPA.

we had to book a time slot for the spa and chose 19:00 (7pm). When we arrived there were about 6-10 other people there. The ladies locker room was very nice with a sauna and cold pool.
Inside the spa there was a larger pool and relax area, a hot tub and a steam sauna. All very nice, but no way worth paying a day spa package.

Breakfast was served in their restaurant with table service due to COVID. It was a great breakfast with nice views.
